Most of the characters there are sane, and I actually disrupt things when my character suddenly jumps in someone's face and screams, "YOU'RE ALL INBRED!" Or something similarly universally insulting. I must say, I love playing mildly to severely psychotic characters, and here, I'm just one among the crowd.......... Although I tried playing sane with Pounce untill he got jacked one too many times. Anyway, where this meandering verbal gelatinous cube of a post is headed, is I HAVE been around on passing occasions, and, having found not a soul who would be willing or capable of roleplay when I DO come on, I usually promptly leave and go about my business of making people stop and take notice of my rather messed up characters. Well, on another note, I'll be leaving for the summer soon, so this may be the last time you see Pounce or Cirrus for a long time. I won't have internet acccess for over two months, and after I get back, I'll have about zero time to mess around because I'm going to overload myself with college courses.... His height is somewhat above normal, and there is an air of definite arrogance about him. Rathe's eyes are a deep blue, sparkling with an inner wisdom that you would attribute to a scholar or mage. Occasionally, a straight black line travels directly across both eyes, through the pupils. His hair is an unusual silver color, generally somewhat ruffled. Poking out from under his hair, his slightly pointed ears draw attention to his elven features. The light glints off of his shirt of chainmail. Upon his lithe frame, Rathe wears a loose black silk shirt. The silk seems to glimmer as the light glints off of it, and the grey seams are barely noticable as you gaze upon it. Each cuff on the wrists are adorned with brownished circular buttons, with white swirls. Rathe wears a comfortable pair of black pants. They are slightly worn out, yet neat and crisply pressed, the fabric of a dark black. A few patches cover the lower leg area, with hemmed leg-cuffs that are neatly done. Small rivets show the beginning of a pocket on each side. Slung over his shoulder, Rathe carries a worn and tattered napsack. A brass key hangs from a chain around his neck. His gyroslug pistol is holstered. Rathe has a pinewood staff strapped to his back. A small orb if misty grey floats near Rathe, zipping about occasionally. He has a long knife in a sheathe at his left side. He has a long knife in a sheathe at his right side. ~(Blood-Elf, Elven Mage~) Rathe is uninjured. I'd first like to appologize to Scorch. I totally messed up her character concept for no reason currently apparent, and I guess that was totally uncalledfor. Don't worry, I'll be back in a couple of months. Secondly, I'd like to express my appreciation and only mild disbelief that Clayson cares enough to put my name up on the boards in a post that isn't my own... That kinda made me feel warm and fuzzy... Well, more than usual, anyway. Also, I'd like to bid a fond, if only temporary farewell to all my friends, including, but not limited to Red, Merri, Scorch, Clayson, Durandal (whatever he calls himself now), Nadir, Yira, Aerie, Skywalker, Rhea, and if I've missed anyone, please don't hesitate to call me on it. It's a late night and my very existance hurts. And I'd like to remind everyone, tomorrow is my last day here, so I'd love it if I could see all of my friends one last time. Slayer was good. Rob Zombie kicked ass (he saved Dragula to the very end and used it as the encore :) He was the last band to go on before Black Sabbath and he did a great job of pumping up the crowd (over 25,000 people. The concert sold out. Wonder if Brittany Spears will be able to do that? :) Black Sabbath came close to being a religious experience. They opened with War Pigs and it just got better, through Iron Man right up to the end (Paranoia was the encore). They didn't do a single new song from the reunion CD. It was all old classics. But after the first couple of songs passed and the first rush subsided I started to notice something. Ozzy Osborn looks like hell. Period. And I'm wondering if this is going to be his last tour. He actually shuffled around on the stage. He looked like an old man. Not the middle aged man he is but an OLD man, with his shoulders hunched down. He obviously couldn't run around on the stage like he used to but walked from place to place. Toward the end he gave up and just stayed center stage. He actually had to be helped from the stage at the end of the concert. He wasn't drunk or high or anything like that. In fact he begged those people in the crowd who were drunk or high to have a designated driver. When I noticed what was going on my nurse's intuition went into high gear. Denali and I discussed it on the way home. He looks like he has something seriously wrong with him neurologically. Perhaps the beginning of Parkinson's. Given his past drug and alcohol abuse this wouldn't surprise me. Even so, it was heart breaking seeing this legend go down for possibly the last time. It made the concert very poignant. -------------------------- Message 6682 from *Chat (#5391): Date: Sat Jul 10 21:24:17 1999 EDT From: Eponine (#3791) To: *Chat (#5391) Rand has a web cam.
